LifeX · A Commonwealth project
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 1, 2026
We want LifeX to be usable by everyone — including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards, magnification, or reduced motion.
Hit a barrier? Email hello@commonwealth.la with "Accessibility" in the subject and a note about the page and the problem. We'll prioritize it and help you get what you need.
01Our commitment
LifeX aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act — and to keep improving as we add features.
02What we've done
- Visible keyboard focus on links, buttons, and form fields.
- A "skip to content" link on pages with a main landmark.
- Form fields with labels, and clear sign-in / sign-up error messages.
- Respect for the system "reduce motion" setting — animations are minimized when you ask for it.
- Readable color contrast on our calm purple palette.
03Known limitations
LifeX uses gentle motion and timers during meditation sessions. These ease when "reduce motion" is on, but if any moving content gets in your way, tell us and we'll address it.
04Feedback
